Now in its 6th year, Round Lake Vineyards’ annual Grape Stomp will look a little different this year. Scheduled for August, 29th, the event continues to offer live music, food, vendor specials and grape stomping fun all afternoon, but this year will promote social distancing over the large lakeside space! Bring your lawn chairs for added comfort!
Doors open at 11 a.m. with live music from Michael Hope. Jeremy DeWall Band will take the stage at 4 p.m. Vendors will be selling their wares from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Craft beer and wine tasting will take place under the Tasting Tent from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The tasting room will be open all day offering wine, beer, spirits and food as usual.
The Grape Stomp competition begins at 2 p.m. Registration is open online at RoundLakeVineyards.com and on Eventbrite with stomp times open every 20 minutes. Prizes go to the fastest three teams to reach two liters of juice from squashing feet!
A special non-timed, Parent-Kid Stomp at 3 pm will let kids experience the fun of foot-smashing grapes while a parent shares a memory. Spaces are limited.
Teams are encouraged to appear in costume and prizes are awarded based on originality, design, and effort. Teams typically consist of competing businesses, organizations, and friends. Costume and timed team stomp awards will be announced at 6 p.m. Winning teams receive bottles of wine for each overall winner with the fastest team receiving 2, $50 gift cards.
